Lindholm leaves Yahoo!
30 January, 2007Chistopher Lindholm posts about leaving Yahoo!
I don’t know how directly it maps, but Nokia’s UI seemed to go downhill after his departure from the Finnish mobile maker in late 2005 to become Vice President of Global Mobile Products for Yahoo!. It’ll be interesting to see where he pops up next in the mobile world… Google?

Speaking of customer experience, why do they split the interview in two…. And “coming soon” doesn’t help me identify when I’m supposed to go and check it again. Wasn’t it all one conversation? Did they get sick of typing?

Nokia N800 vs. Newton UI
30 January, 2007An interesting look at the Nokia N800 UI by a Newton Developer. When I first played with the N770, the N800′s predecessor, in Finland last year, there were a number of UI things that irked me within the 5mins of playing with it. This article articulates some of these irks.
It also highlights how the UI of the Newton was far before its time and that no other product has come close to its ease of interaction and integration between applications.
